In November 2017, three women named Kristina Cohen (actor), Rachel Eck (film producer), and Aurélie Wynn (actor) put sexual assault allegations against Ed. Kristina and Aurélie accused Ed of rape charges, and Rachel accused him of sexual assault. Kristina took to her Facebook account to talk about it. She wrote,
"After dinner with my boyfriend and Westwick, I fell asleep and woke to find him on top of me.”
Later, in a statement ED said,
"Unverified and probably untrue. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”
In July 2018, the office of the Los Angeles District Attorney cleared him of charges due to the lack of proofs. The attorney said,
"Westwick would not be prosecuted regarding the claims of rape and sexual assault. Witnesses identified by the first two alleged victims were not able to provide information that would enable the prosecution to prove either incident beyond a reasonable doubt, with prosecutors unable to contact the third claimant.”
