The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, February 8 – Hypocrite Cheater Devon Called Out – Victor Threatens Jack

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 8, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will bump into Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) at the GCAC, so Diane will gloat about her new co-CEO position.

Phyllis will hint about having someone special in her life and won’t act impressed over Diane getting a pity promotion from her husband.

At The Empty Glass, drunk Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will lash out at Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for coming clean to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and bringing him back there to pick her up.

After Victor gets Nikki in the car, she’ll sober up a bit and understand that none of this is Jack’s fault.

Nikki will want to get something to eat and visit the Abbott mansion so that Jack can help her explain why he should be her sponsor.

Meanwhile, Jack will head to the mini bar at home and prepare to pour himself a drink. As Jack flashes back to when he was married to Nikki, he’ll recall fighting with Victor over her alcohol issues.

Once Diane appears on Thursday’s Y&R episode, she’ll get updates on Nikki’s latest crisis and the fact that Jack confessed everything to Victor.

Nikki and Victor will eventually arrive, so Diane will make it clear that she knows how to be discreet and supports Nikki’s recovery.

After Diane excuses herself, Nikki will urge Victor to see that she needs someone who understands her addiction – and that person is Jack in this case, not Victor.

Nikki will convince Victor that he needs to respect her call on this and accept that Jack’s the best person to be her sponsor.

Victor still won’t like it, but he’ll go along with Nikki’s wishes. That said, Victor will warn that if anything happens to Nikki, Jack “will have hell to pay!”

At Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) place, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will remind Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) that it’s important to keep her reunion with Daniel under wraps.

Lucy will still be excited about her family coming back together – though she’ll worry that Daniel might change his mind before he can get everything squared away with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) regarding the breakup.

Heather will insist they need to have faith in Daniel and will stay positive about the whole situation before agreeing to take Lucy to Crimson Lights.

When Heather and Lucy cross paths with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) on their way out, he’ll seem pensive and will turn down their offer to join them.

At the coffeehouse, Daniel will bump into Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), who’ll wonder if the plan is to just keep cheating on Lily while Daniel waits for the right time to dump her.

Daniel will try to explain his tricky dilemma and will eventually wonder if Devon is really in the position to pass judgment since he cheated on Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway).

Devon will seem like he gets that he’s being a hypocrite, but he’ll also feel the need to protect Lily since she’s been through a lot.

Daniel will talk about putting things on pause with Heather and will assure Devon that he’s just trying to do what’s best for Lily as she supports Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson).

Devon still won’t like the position Daniel is putting him in, so he’ll warn that he won’t lie to Lily if she asks him outright.

Later, Daniel will opt to head home instead of hanging around for mocha drinks with Heather and Lucy. After Daniel learns Danny seemed upset, he’ll check on him.

That’ll lead to Danny’s admission about Christine Bell (Lauralee Bell) spotting him kissing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and how he’s backing away from both of them to stop all the drama.

Daniel will confess his own hush-hush reunion with Heather and how he’s waiting until the right time to tell Lily.

Danny will guess that it’s not really that sudden and will ask for advice regarding his own love life, so Daniel will tell him to “buckle up, buttercup.”

Phyllis will spot Heather and Lucy clinking mugs at Crimson Lights, so she’ll be curious about what they’re celebrating.

Lucy and Heather will act like it’s just been a great day, but Phyllis will think there’s more to the story.

Afterward, Phyllis will head over to Daniel’s penthouse to invite him to dinner, but it’ll seem more like she wants to pester Danny instead.

While Daniel’s on a phone call with Lily, Phyllis will make another pitch to Danny regarding a romance, but he’ll bolt when Daniel reappears.

Daniel will confront Phyllis, who’ll act like Christine’s the one causing problems. Phyllis will also think that Daniel and Danny need to wake up regarding the people they belong with.

Once Danny is out in the hall, he’ll be surprised when he comes face to face with Christine.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis has a few more tricks up her sleeve, so stay tuned for all the sneaky news ahead.
