Despite its poor reception at the time of its theatrical release, the film based on the popular board game went on to grow a big cult following that returned it to its rightful place in American cinema history.
The perfect mixture of comedy and mystery, the film “Clue,” released in 1985, featured a deluxe ensemble cast made out of some of the most brilliant comedy actors and actresses from different generations.
With the news of an upcoming remake of the film, starring Ryan Reynolds, being in the works, the interest about the original movie has been revived, and what better occasion to know what went on in the careers of the film’s amazing cast.
TIM CURRY
The 73-year-old actor played Wadsworth, Mr. Boddy’s mysterious butler, who serves as host of the entire party in the absence of his master.

Curry went on to star in films like “The Hunt for Red October” (1990), “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” (1992), “The Three Musketeers” (1993), “The Shadow” (1994), “Congo” (1995), “Four Dogs Playing Poker” (2000), “Kinsey” (2004), and “Burke & Hare” (2010).
In 2012, the actor suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed and ever since then he has limited his work in the industry to voice acting.
CHRISTOPHER LLOYD
Best known for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown in the “Back to the Future” trilogy (1985, 1989, 1990), and also starred in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” (1988), “The Addams Family” (1991), “Dennis the Menace” (1993), “My Favorite Martian” (1999), and “Dorothy and the Witches of Oz” (2012).
More recently, in the small screen, Lloyd has been cast in the series “Granite Flats” (2014-2015), “12 Monkeys” (2017-2018), and “Cyberchase” (2002-2019).
MADELINE KAHN
The late actress played Mrs. White, a neurotic and shady woman responsible for the memorable “flames” scene that went on to become a meme in the internet age.

Kahn continued to act in films like “Betsy’s Wedding” (1990), “Mixed Nuts” (1994), “Nixon” (1995), and “Judy Berlin” (1999), and in series like “Mr. President” (1987-1988), “New York News” (1995), and “Cosby” (1996-1999).
Sadly, the actress passed away in 1999 at the age of 57, after undergoing aggressive treatment for ovarian cancer.
MICHAEL MCKEAN
The 72-year-old actor played Mr. Green, an undercover government agent present at the scene of the murder.

The 73-year-old actress played Miss Scarlet, a stereotypical femme fatale that uses her charms to her advantage.
Warren has since star in films like “Worth Winning” (1989), “Life Stinks” (1991), “Pure Country” (1992), “The Limey” (1999), “Secretary” (2002), “Deepwater” (2005), “Jobs” (2013), “The Sphere and the Labyrinth” (2015), “It Snows All the Time” (2016), and “3 Days with Dad” (2019).

The 76-year-old actor played Colonel Mustard, an incompetent military man that provides much physical comedy in the classic film.

The late actress played Mrs. Peacock, the wife of a US Senator in trouble for taking bribes and fears blackmail.
Brennan went on to star in films like “Sticky Fingers” (1988), “White Palace” (1990), “I Don’t Buy Kisses Anymore” (1992), “Pants on Fire” (1998), “The Last Great Ride” (1999), “Jeepers Creepers” (2001), “Miss Congeniality 2” (2005), and “Naked Run” (2011).
In July 2013, the veteran Hollywood actress passed away at her home in Burbank, California at the age of 80, after suffering from bladder cancer.
